Healthy Minds for healthy lives
There is no need to fix ourselves, improve ourselves in order to become something different. Many conditions for happiness already exist in our lives. By practicing mindfulness we can offer ourselves kindness and deep friendship. We can let go of the subtle aggression of self improvement.
Mindfulness practice isn’t about throwing away who we are, emptying our minds, becoming someone different, rather it is about getting to know who we really are and turning towards ourselves with acceptance. The practice of mindfulness does not seek to solve or fix our problems but to create space where compassion, understanding, and insight can grow. With regular mindfulness practice we can learn how to live life with ease and freedom.
